The Nation: The Long Nightmare of Trump’s Border Wall Is Still Going

That article won’t tell you.  It’s more of a Progressive fantasy horror show.  The article is awesome because it is pure alarmism.  There is no effort to inform, just generate outrage.  That aren’t even any pictures or maps to distract from the big scary.

A leading preoccupation of the first Trump administration has all but slipped from view. Except when ostensible conservatives speak out against it, the major media have scarcely breathed a word on the subject. But it’s still there, 30 feet tall, aspirationally 1,952 miles long, obliterating habitats, dividing families, and sucking down public funds faster than a carrier-based air squadron.

Can it be a ‘long nightmare’ if nobody cares about the issue?

Helpfully, the first paragraph contains a link to a substantive WaPo article from six weeks ago that is more balanced.  If you want an update on the border wall, go there.

If a normal person wants to see what fuels the Progressives, or a Progressive wants to fuel their outrage to go vandalize something, then stick with The Nation article.

The USA is a rich country bordering a poor country.  Our per capita GDP is six times higher.  Mexico is arguably a narco-state heavily influenced by drug cartels.  That is sufficient reason to have a physical barrier.

An open border allows people from any country to enter and disperse.  Criminals from all over the world crossed our border.  Biden was unconcerned.

When Biden took office, the national murder rate went up by 20%.  After Trump began deporting criminal illegal aliens, the murder rate went to the lowest rate in a 100 years.

The Nation is pure propaganda and needed to be recognized.
