What the hell is going on in Korea?

Teach You a Lesson is a Korean Death Wish plot set in high schools.  Some high schools are so dysfunctional, the government established the Educational Rights Protection Agency.  The ERPA team is authorized to go undercover into high schools, and do whatever they think is necessary.

The old guy is the head of the Federal Department of Education and started the program because his daughter was a teacher who was killed by a student two years ago.  Her fiance was the young suave guy.  He was in Special Forces, leads the team, and usually goes in as new teacher.  The sloppy guy and hot girl go in as students.  With that background, the show does a good job setting up the team’s motivation to clean up schools.

The students are awful.  The actors do a good job of making them loathsome.  All the students are predators or prey, and there never seem to be any adults around to stop the abuse.  The school staff are powerless to manage the students or maintain order, so the ERPA team is called in.

The pyscho students learn that payback is a bitch.  In the first episode, the team leader slaps the shit out of the big man on campus.  In the third episode, the social media mean-girl bully gets her accounts hacked and humiliated.

It’s okay, they deserve it.  By that point, the bullies have driven their victim to leave the school or commit suicide.

Teach You a Lesson is on Netflix and dubbed in English.  It’s good for the genre.  8/10.
