Fox News: Gil Gerard, actor who played Buck Rogers, dies at 82
Back when science fiction could be sexy, Gil Gerard was Buck Rogers.
Gil Gerard wasn’t a great actor, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century wasn’t a great TV show, but we liked it. It was campy and had attractive actors, but no deep message or complex narrative.
Gerard was a working actor for nearly fifty years, but did nothing else of consequence.
His lowest rated movie on IMDB is Reptisaurus, with a rating of 2.5. I’m a little tempted to watch it in homage.
