Katherine Maher’s Color Revolution
It’s pretty obvious that the CEO of National Public Radio, Katherine Maher, is shady as hell.

Firm wins Space Force funding to provide an “aircraft carrier” in orbit.
Such a module would isolate the satellites from the space environment, sparing their batteries and sensitive electronics from harsh thermal cycles every 90 minutes, and provide some shielding from radiation. In addition, the orbital carrier would obfuscate the satellites inside from observation by other nations or hostile actors in space. Then, when a satellite is needed, it can be deployed into multiple orbits by the carrier.
This reminds me of the comedy/science fiction/action movie, Iron Sky (2012).

RFK Jr.’s plan for pharma ads would run straight into the First Amendment
RFK Jr wants to ban pharmaceutical ads on television, but MSNBC isn’t sure that he can.
Of course he can, but it may not matter.
BBC: Starmer says US ‘backstop’ needed for Ukraine deal
Sir Keir Starmer has said any Ukraine peace deal would require a “US backstop” to deter Russia from attacking its neighbour again.
Speaking after a hastily convened meeting with European leaders in Paris, he said a “US security guarantee was the only way to effectively deter Russia”, and vowed to discuss the “key elements” of a peace deal with US President Donald Trump in Washington next week.

Tim Walz to launch national tour of town halls in Republican House districts
Tim Walz is headed back out on the road – this time, for a tour of House districts represented by Republicans who have stopped holding in-person town halls amid the raucous receptions some of their colleagues have gotten across the country.
Good for Walz. He may not persuade many people, but it’s always a good idea to get out and talk to the people. Trump and his people are moving fast, and Democrats must feel like they should do something. At least Walz has a constructive plan. His colleagues could learn from him.
Musk outlines DOGE work in rare TV interview
What is a TV interview? A week ago, Musk talked to Joe Rogan for three hours. On Youtube alone, 12 million people watched. That is more than the total number of people who subscribe to the New York Times. The interview appeared on Spotify and other platforms as well.

This may be the first time in my life that I did not know about changing the clocks for Daylight Savings Time. That is reason enough to abolish the policy.
Why Has Joe Biden’s $42 Billion Broadband Program Not Connected One Single Household?
This is maddening, and with luck, much of that money can be redirected. Consider this one program cost each taxpayer in America, about $300.
Subtract the people with the internet on their phones and the people who don’t want the internet, how many are left? Running coax or fiber optic cable to every remote location in America intentionally ignores the existence of Starlink.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk approvingly reposted an X user who claimed that “for $42 billion they could have bought Starlink dishes for 140 million people.”
There are only 130 million households in America.
Schadenfreude is taking pleasure in someone else’s misfortune. Fremdschämen is a new word I learned which means being embarrassed because someone else did something embarrassing. It’s like second-hand embarrassment.

At Trump’s address, the Democrats looked like sullen versions of Cabbage Patch kids. Even during the nonpartisan, poignant parts, the Sour Patch kids wouldn’t applaud, stand up or smile. I wasn’t sure about those segments, so maybe they can explain what message they were sending.
John Fetterman, a Democratic senator who is open about his brain damage, said that his colleagues were, “A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance,”
