Do normal people have headboards to keep their stuff in?

I had one as a kid, and liked it.  It’s time I had another one, so started building it.  I’m on the polyurethane stage of the game.

“But Uncle, that just looks like a bunch of pallets stapled together.”

It will make sense when it’s done, but that won’t be for a few more weeks. 

Here is a crude rendition of the finished piece.

The center two-thirds will hold the clock-radio and CPAP.   The little side cubbyholes are for a phone charger, and little stuff.  I don’t what goes in the little compartments above the cubbyholes.

On top, there will be two Smart LED lamps that will be part of the home automation system to light up the room gradually or all at once.

That’s the plan for now.
