Sparky may have become agoraphobic.
It was a warm and sunny afternoon, so Sparky and I went out for a walk. He was happy to be outside, so commenced to sniffing and pissing. I got to the end of the yard as Sparky focused on the area around the camper.
When I called him over, Sparky tried to look busy and pretended not to hear me. When I insisted, Sparky headed back to the deck. That isn’t unusual in cold or wet weather, but Sparky likes a stroll on a sunny day.
Sparky got to the deck, and went into the little space between the wall and the grill. I don’t want to dispute Sparky’s courage, but it sure looked like he was hiding, cowering or sheltering. If he had smelled something enticing, his butt would be sticking out.
I don’t know what to make of it. Last night, we walked down to the land bridge. I was at DEFCON 3 because I’d heard movement in the brush, but Sparky was unconcerned.
Today, he must have smelled something he didn’t like. Or Sparky is getting anxious about wide open spaces.
The Sparkster. You should get a puppy, so Sparky can train him in his Sparky ways. Two Sparky’s? This would start to get interesting.
Yeah, I know. I need to start looking for a trainee pup.
