I don’t like to work anymore.
Today might be the last day warm enough to seal the aux. driveway, so I did. To apply Drive Maxx 700, it should be over 60o, and above 50o for 36 hours with no rain.
Reviews say that it looks great when it’s dry. It does. That’s what pisses me off.
Sealing asphalt seems important and makes sense, but I want the sealant that smells like burning tires for three days as it cures. Now, even the good stuff is water-based. This may be nothing more than painting my driveway with latex paint.
I am wiped out.
It’s analogous to painting a 200 ft long wall that’s 8 ft high. No windows, so that’s a blessing, but you have to keep a wet edge. That means no long breaks, and it’s got to be done today. Nothing is particularly hard, but I am completely gassed.
Sparky is not sympathetic.

Sparky laughed at me, and told me to stop being a pussy.
Sparky is rightfully bitter, because he didn’t have a good day either. He couldn’t come out to help me because he might walk on the sealer. I took him out a few times, but he couldn’t wander, I didn’t have time for a good walk, and I didn’t want to get sealer on anything, so kept my hands to myself.
I got through five buckets of sealant, and was out of juice. I’ve got 30 feet to go, and have one more 5 gallon bucket. That isn’t great, but I give up. It’s down by the road, so the transition won’t be too noticeable. Or it will look stupid. Whatever.
I cleaned up as much as possible, but it didn’t all come off. I’d love to take a nap, but don’t want to touch anything until it’s dry for sure.
Now that I’m inside, Sparky has built up an excess of charisma and playfulness.

Damn you cute little puppy.
I’m so tired. I’m going to have a beer, and hope that puts me on the other side of the weariness hump.
FML, I grabbed a Southern Tier Brewing Caramel Cookie Bar beer. Why did I even buy this?
I’m okay. I had a Yuengling in reserve, had some dinner and am a little rested.
It’s time for Sparky’s dinner, so after that, we will goof around.
