These are a few of the splendid mushrooms that we passed on our morning stroll.  There are so many, and some of them look tasty.

Then I remember something I read in a book.  “Dyin’ ain’t a good way to start the day.”

I looked up edible mushroom in our area.  There is a poisonous mushroom that looks a little bit like every good kind of mushroom.  My mushroom is within the margin-of-error for either species.

All those mushrooms got me thinking.

The French have those hogs that are trained to find truffles around the roots of oak trees.  I’ve got plenty of oak trees and Sparky is called SeƱor Piglet by some people.  That’s almost the same thing.

I asked Sparky if he could hunt for truffles.

Is that supposed to be Irish or Scottish?  If you don’t like mushrooms, just say so.

I had more thoughts on mushrooms, but Sparky has gotten me off track.  We are not ordering a rabbit pizza, but it is time for his breakfast.
