Greenland must be good for something. 

It’s 50 times bigger than regular Denmark, so they need it to maintain a significant footprint on the globe.  If the US owns Greenland, Canada feels claustrophobic, but otherwise, who cares?

Whatever resources or strategic advantages there are in Greenland, the US can access with a long-term lease.  The US maintains Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba, and we don’t even like them.  If an American thinks about Denmark, we think of those butter cookies in the blue cookie tin or we are thinking about the Netherlands by mistake.

Trump has a Greenland strategy that isn’t obvious, but we don’t need to be concerned.

President Trump has accomplished more in a year, than any president in my lifetime accomplished in two terms.  Much of what he has accomplished, like controlling the border, rebuilding the military and using tariffs to renegotiate trade, has been very good for the country. 

What will other presidents be remembered for?

George W. Bush squandered blood and treasure to get us mired in the Middle East.

Barrack Obama made healthcare a Charlie-Foxtrot.  As the first Black president, encouraged the idea that police were racist and wanted to kill Black men.  As a result, Black men plausibly figured that shooting at, running from or fighting with cops was a necessary survival response.

Joe Biden is known as an inept and feeble president with a decadent son.  Lack of global leadership and Biden corruption in Ukraine, provided an opening for Putin to invade.  DEI policies resulted in high level government officials who cross-dressed at work, or stole luggage from airports.  His VP, Kamala Harris,  was the least capable diversity candidate imaginable.

I don’t know where Trump is going with Greenland.  It all seems more dramatic than necessary.  Through confidential diplomatic channels, Trump could have exchanged Puerto Rico for Greenland, or a chunk of Greenland, or a long-term lease of Greenland.  Whatever.

Trump supporters will never regret their vote.  The alternative was Kamala Harris, and her corrupt and feckless running mate, Tim Walz.  Currently, Minnesota is on the brink of insurrection because ICE are carrying out their core duties.  All the chaos in Minnesota would vanish if local law enforcement cooperated with the federal government.
