Nobody cares about Alyssa’s decision.

Alyssa Milano removes her breast implants: ‘Letting go of the body that was sexualized and abused’

This is dumb, but her sanctimony is so irritating.  Alyssa Milano got a boob job and it paid off when she starred on Charmed for eight years.  The show was about witches, romance and female empowerment featuring three sisters with ample charms that were generously displayed.  It had something for everyone.

“Today I’m releasing those false narratives, the parts of me that were never actually parts of me,” she wrote in her caption. “I’m letting go of the body that was sexualized, that was abused, that I believed was necessary for me to be attractive; to be loved; to be successful; to be happy.

“And in doing so,” Milano added, “I hope I am releasing my daughter Bella from ever feeling those same unhealthy demands.” ”

Milano is 52 years old, and nobody is clamoring to see grandma’s cleavage.  Milano sexualized her own body when it gave her an edge.  She had a nice career and  the boob job was a good investment.  Nobody demanded that she get big tits. Why does she have to give the virtuous speech, instead of just being honest.

Something like, “The boob job is dead weight, and there is no point in carrying them around anymore.   I hope my daughter Bella understands that in our enlightened time, nobody cares what men want.  The male gaze is irrelevant, so physical beauty won’t improve a woman’s prospects.  To get ahead, make sanctimonious pronouncements about personal issues on social media.”

It may seem like none of my business, but I watched Charmed, so have standing on this issue.
