One of Sparky’s most considerate and genteel habits is to do his dirty business in the least objectionable spot available.

When we are walking through the church parking lot, Sparky will drop under a guard rail, where no one can possibly walk in it.  I feared for Sparky’s safety the first time that he backed up to the edge in order to dump in the creek.  He routinely goes in the high weeds or under the canopy of a low shrub.

Alternatively, Sparky may choose a spot to send a message.  He seemed uncharacteristically vindictive when he took a dump in a rabbit hole.  I can’t imagine what the rabbit did to offend him.  He has pooped on snow balls or tree stumps to alert the woodland residents.  Those weren’t accidents when he conspicuously left a package at Norm’s house or at Aunt Courtney’s.

With Sparky, there are no accidents.

This morning, we walked for 600 feet passed a number of conventional locations, but Sparky waited to go next to my sitting rock by the creek.  That rock was placed there with considerable effort, and comfortably accommodates my butt.

I have no clue what idea Sparky is attempting to communicate.

One of Sparky’s other considerate customs is to ignore the bathroom.  When I got out of the shower this morning, Sparky was loitering at the doorway.  I took that to mean that Sparky required to use his bathroom.  Rather than finish my morning routine, I took Sparky out.  That’s when he waited to get to my creek rock.

I have no idea what Sparky is trying to say.
