I had a blood test a few days ago in advance of next week’s wellness visit with my doctor.  The results were posted the next day.

Today, I got an email from my doctor saying, “Cholesterol is elevated need to work on your diet…”

No shit, Sherlock.  We talked about this.  I’m only eating vegetables that fit on a hamburger.  That prescription you wrote for Rosuvastatin is supposed to cancel out the cholesterol, so if you screwed up the dosage, that’s on you.

Dr. Smart-Arse doesn’t bother mentioning that I nailed potassium.  Dead-nuts, right in the sweet spot.  What if eating kale or soy paste upsets my potassium balance, and I develop symptoms?

I’m not worried about the cholesterol because I’m taking a minute amount of Rosuvastatin.  These pills may be the smallest item that can be individually purchased.  I’ve seen snowflakes bigger than one of these pills.

Dr. Smart-Arse didn’t write or send the email.  An AI at UH, saw the results, and sent the email.  That’s the danger of AI.  It will be used to hector patients, instead of making our life better.

AI could tell me to double up on the Rosuvastatin, and get another blood test in a few weeks.
