It took until 8:30 pm for Sparky to do more than sleep. When he lifted his head to look around, I told him about the rice and brisket gravy in his bowl. After he ate that, he felt pretty good.

Sparky was dropped off at the vet at 8 am, and we picked him up at 3 pm. I didn’t realize that minor dog surgery can take all day. He is fine, but punky. Sparky had a tooth removed, sutures on his belly and evidence of a tape worm.
This video is going up as Sparky is going in for his belly-scraping surgery. He is getting a biopsy, so we won’t know anything definitive afterward, but Sparky will have to wear his cone of shame. He may not feel so good after the procedure, so a Benny Hill video might raise his spirits.
One of Sparky’s most considerate and genteel habits is to do his dirty business in the least objectionable spot available.
Sparky is still working on the cat puzzle he got at Aunt Joanne’s Fun House.
When I got out of bed this morning, it was 46o outside. A fire would be overkill, but really nice.
Where do you get your news? Anyone relying on NPR, New York Times or CNN, isn’t informed, but managed and manipulated.
While making split pea soup, I’m watching The Conjuring. The movie is super-creepy. A carrot this twisted, may be possessed by an entity who once walked the Earth, but not in human form. The movie doesn’t specifically mention demonically possessed vegetables, but why take chances?
Sparky has every reason to think that good things are coming his way. Poor dog, it’s not going to work out this time.
