Maryland Renaissance Festival Has Banned Furries This Year

Wenches, beggars and barbarians are welcome at this year’s Maryland Renaissance Festival. Furries are not.

And the furries — that is, the subculture defined by people who wear anthropomorphic animal costumes — have their dander up about it.

Jousting is the official state sport of Maryland.  Their renaissance festivals should be pretty good, so apparently they don’t need furries.
