Two Tier Keir Has a Problem Called ‘Waifu Amelia’ and It Is Screamingly Funny
Somebody has to stand up for The Land of Hope and Glory, and it’s a fictional, purple-haired anime girl named Amelia.
Back in the 70’s, Norman Lear created the TV show, All in the Family, as a comedy/drama to address the changes in society toward the end of the Vietnam War era.

Norman Lear was a Leftist who wanted to argue for his side in what was supposed to look like a fair fight. Archie Bunker represented the older generation and their bigoted, conservative values. His son-in-law Michael represented the young, enlightened and educated Leftists.
The problem was that Archie was played by Carroll O’Conner, an experienced actor with stage presence and charisma. His middle-class values made sense to people, and he was a good man. The audience liked him.
Michael was an unemployed college student who looked sloppy and had sloppy thinking. He was portrayed by Rob Reiner, who did most of his best work as a writer and producer. He’s the guy who was murdered by his son a few months ago.
Norman Lear misjudged. The audience liked his bad guy, better than his good guy.
Amelia started as a fictional character in a UK government-funded project to raise awareness of online radicalization. Amelia was portrayed as an online influencer who looked hip and attractive, but believed in regressive ideas like national pride and immigration limits.
Like Norman Lear, the UK government misjudged the audience. They liked Amelia and her ideas didn’t sound outlandish. The radicalization awareness project seemed simplistic and creepy.
The UK government is getting repressive. Last year, 12,000 people were detained for making online comments that the government found offensive. Citizens are intimidated and reluctant to speak out against unpopular government policies. Amelia is the perfect spokesman.
Amelia is a pale goth, with purple hair, that doesn’t promote a specific natural appearance. She’s not pierced and not stodgy. She is strong and feminine. As a fictional character, she can be presented in any number of formats.
Normal people, watching this video, may not realize that she is completely AI generated. There is no real person.
As an AI character, she can interact with King Arthur, Lady Di, Charles Darwin, Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin, William Shakespeare, Isaac Newton, Emily Bronte or any of the great figures in UK history.
Amelia can be Scottish or speak Welsh. She can pilot a Spitfire or drive an Aston Martin. Amelia can be in a comic strip, meme or anime. A platform for everyone.
Europeans who come to the US are surprised by the number of American flags displayed. Open patriotism in many countries in Europe is unfashionable and suspicious. Political parties that encourage national pride and prioritize their own citizens, are considered too nationalistic and dangerous. They may want a version of Amelia to represent their values.
Somebody has to stand up for Western civilization, and Amelia may be the girl to do it.
