Sparky wanted to go out and make new friends. His tail was smiling, but it didn’t make it to his face.
The construction guys sent the tire buyer to the aux driveway, so everything worked out.
Facebook Marketplace worked fine, but it took about a week for my ad to attract attention.
I don’t enjoy selling, but know how it works. I make up a price that’s a little high, he offers a round number lower, and I agree.
In between, there are people who aren’t really interested, but feel compelled to ask trivial questions. This time, one guy offered to trade guns for tires. I don’t know what that’s about, but I’m not interested.
After the sale, I went to mark the item as sold, and got a bunch of questions from Facebook. Did it sell on Marketplace or elsewehere? Who bought it? Was it one of these guys? There might have been more questions, but I closed out.
The guy who bought the tires told me that Craigslist has been mostly dead since they started charging. Craigslist killed newspaper classifieds ads, and now FB Marketplace killed Craigslist. The circle of life.
