Several Democratic senators and congressman are one word away from sedition. 

Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution.

Their statement is true, and every member of the military knows it.  This message to the military is very dangerous and will do harm.

People with an IQ as low as 83 can join the military. Our laws are not so clear that a low-ranking dope will always correctly ascertain whether or not a lawful order was given.  If the service member refuses an order, and that order is deemed to be legal, the service member could lose their career in the military and possibly be incarcerated. 

Just sending that message will disrupt military preparedness and harm service members.

It’s not that different from Obama’s message to young Black men that the police are racist and eager to mistreat them.  When the president says that cops want to kill you, it is completely rational for a young Black kid to flee or fight when confronted by a cop.  Obama got Black kids killed or incarcerated. 

Trump cannot even power-wash the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.  What unconstitutional orders are the Democrats talking about?  They never say.  There is a court injunction against painting or power-washing the Eisenhower building, and Trump is respecting that order. 

Trump is an active president, and he has done things that other presidents have not attempted, but there is no evidence or indication that he has done anything unconstitutional.

The Democratic congressman and senators know that they are undermining the US military and trying to force a constitutional crisis.  Trump knows that too.

Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniform military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. And right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.

We know this is hard and that it’s a difficult time to be a public servant. But whether you’re serving in the CIA, the Army, our Navy, the Air Force, your vigilance is critical. And know that we have your back because now more than ever, the American people need you. We need you to stand up for our laws, our Constitution, and who we are as Americans. Don’t give up.
