Fetishists infiltrate group promoting barefoot living

The largest group dedicated to “barefoot living” in the UK has been forced to bring in strict rules after being infiltrated by people with a sexual “foot fetish”.

The largest group?  That means there are several groups in the UK for people who don’t wear shoes.  I hope at least one group has a hobbit theme.

What did they think would happen?  People join the group because they like being barefoot.  Other people who like seeing them barefoot join the group.  It sounds like an ecosystem is forming.

Many use the online forum to offer guidance, share photos and stories or find and meet other like-minded people. Others also extol the apparent health benefits of barefoot living including on posture, connecting with nature and improved mental health.

If they are mostly sharing anecdotes, they don’t even need photos.  There might be some overlap between the people who like to be barefoot and the people who like to see bare feet.

Ben Donnelly, a musician who has not worn shoes in a decade, said he and many women in the group had received private messages asking for pictures. “It’s always men who give this attention whether it’s wanted or not,” he said.

Now I’m curious.  Their feet probably don’t look like the feet of normal people.

Charge a couple of quid, and send a photo.  Everybody wins.
