Disney stars Mark Ruffalo, Pedro Pascal speak out to support Jimmy Kimmel
Celebrities boycott Disney in response to ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel. Perhaps we aren’t so different.
People on the Right are beyond boycotting Disney, and have lost faith in the company. It got serious in 2022, when Disney CEO, Bob Chapek spoke out against Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” bill. The Progressive drift in Disney resulted in the deterioration of major movie franchises, losing revenue from apolitical people. The stock price took a hit.
In March of 2021, Disney Stock was $197. Pandering to Progressives dropped the stock price to around $120.
Prior to suspending Jimmy Kimmel, the stock price was around $116. Now that celebrities and others on the Left are calling for a boycott, the stock price has dropped to $113. That’s not a big effect, but is measurable.
The Left and Right can agree that Disney should focus on providing quality entertainment, and not be driven by political and cultural pressure.
The Left is attempting to protect a man who would have been cancelled if they had applied their own sensitivity guidelines. The Right never liked their Cancel Culture.
Jimmy Kimmel was co-host of The Man Show, and appeared in blackface several times on the show. Kimmel did this impersonate NBA star, Karl Malone.
Kimmel didn’t do this as an homage or Halloween costume, but to mock Malone as being cognitively impaired. Kimmel’s portrayal isn’t far from Stepin Fetchit.
Kimmel’s show introduced girls jumping on trampolines as the closing segment of each show. The women often dressed in fetish outfits like school girls or cheerleaders and were there for the male gaze.
Jimmy Kimmel frequently made disrespectful jokes about his wife, and even featured her on the show.
The Man Show was a raunchy, lowest-common-denominator, TV show, but that didn’t keep Kimmel from having his 8 year-old son and 10 year-old daughter on the show in recurring comedy bits.
People on the Right did not protest the show, and might even appreciate that he provided opportunities for his wife and children.
People on the Left did not protest the show, and now, are going hard to protect Kimmel’s late night talk show on ABC.
The Left and Right agree on quite a bit. The Right objects to Kimmel’s hateful lie in his monologue, but understands that the Left is keeping this issue in the news. Apolitical people see how deranged Kimmel is, and the involvement of Disney actors shows their level of intelligence.
Mark Ruffalo, The Hulk in the MCU recently posted that Disney stock will go down a lot further if they permanently cancel Kimmel’s show. Ruffalo also said, “Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America.”
Don’t worry Mark, Disney is not the only ones trying to break America.
It almost seems like a ruse that Hollywood celebrities would go all in for the colleague who invented The Man Show, and is working on a TV show in a doomed format.
In 2025, Kimmel had 261,000 viewers in the age demographic that sets advertising rates. Youtube has 400,000 channels with that many subscribers. People in the advertiser-coveted demographic of 25 to 54 years old, are much more likely to finish the day by watching Youtube or other social media content.
Traditional late night celebrity television is dead.
