I don’t have a problem with freaks and deviants, just keep that stuff in the Castro District or near the airport. This was Biden’s Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. That sounds like an important position.
The abnormal behavior isn’t appropriate for a critical healthcare professional. He’s a hero of the queer subculture. Fine. He participates in and promotes that lifestyle. What are the chances that an activist will give necessary and appropriate attention to immunizations and respiratory diseases that don’t directly impact his community.
His resignation came hours after news broke that CDC Director Susan Monarez was ousted from the agency.
It’s great that he resigned. That saves the government from offering a severance package or paying unemployment insurance. Good riddance to anyone else who resigns because Monarez was canned.
Perhaps DOGE can setup a working group to scour social media for any other highly placed activists or eccentrics who aren’t dedicated to the core functions of their positions.
