Sparky didn’t mean to do it.

Sparky likes to chase rabbits into the brush.  I like to see Sparky so excited.  When we go in, Sparky gets on my lap to tell me about his hunt, and I catch a wicked case of poison ivy from the urushiol oil on his fur.

I’ve never had much of a reaction to poison ivy, but allergies can develop at any time.  My forearms look unpleasant, but my legs are a horror show.  Yesterday, I washed Sparky, all of his stuff, and all of my stuff.  Fortunately, it doesn’t itch much.

Sparky’s days of running free are over.  I will walk him like a regular dog.  Today, I sprayed Round-up on everything that looks like poison ivy.
