Max. Bench: 185 lbs.
It may be futile, but I still like to try a max lift occasionally. My workout weight is 155 lbs, so going up by 20% doesn’t seem like anything is going to blow out.
My brother is more cautious about his workout weight. Hectoring him to challenge himself isn’t persuasive, but when I go for a max, he tends to plate up. So, that’s worthwhile.
