Ohio Senator, Al Cutrona’s new bill would create a model curriculum based on the success sequence.

Our feckless state legislature is goofing around, rather than doing real work.  The “Success Sequence” is graduate high school, get a job, get married and have kids.  If a person does those things in that order, life will probably work out.

The bill would have the Department of Education and Workforce develop standards and curriculum about the success sequence for grades 6-12. The bill will now be referred to a committee.

It’s bad news whenever a senator proposes one-off standards and curriculum like this.  The Ohio Department of Education occasionally updates the curriculum.  This senator could talk to the Department of Education, and ascertain whether this is already in the standards for Family and Consumer Science.  Topics like this are certainly in their curriculum.

Our legislature is two-thirds Republican, but they act as if Trump doesn’t exist or doesn’t know what he is doing.  Ohio could get DEI out of public education, out of state government, and state contracts.  Ohio could focus on election integrity.  Ohio could look at grants to NGO’s and nonprofits to make sure that Progressive policies are not being promoted.  They don’t.

My guess is that Vivek Ramaswamy will be our next governor.  Our current governor, Mike DeWine is weak tea.  Perhaps Vivek will exert some leadership.
