Mythic Quest is an offbeat office comedy set at a video game development company.  The characters are maximum diversity, with old and young, White, Black and Asian, gay and straight.  It works because all of the characters have strengths and weaknesses.  The show doesn’t avoid diversity topics, but when they come up, both sides are represented, but it all seems a bit silly.

This clip is not representative of Mythic Quest, but illustrates how a topic like women-in-Tech is handled.  The man, as the creative director, is pretty high up the food chain.  He can be a thoughtless jerk, lazy and unreliable, but is quite talented.  The woman is a game tester, so is an entry level employee.  She is the irritating type of Progressive who has to tell everyone that she’s gay, and is disappointed that no one cares.
