While working on the headboard, I had a brainstorm for a new invention using materials on hand. Sparky tried it out, and is eager to use it next time we go camping.
Two years ago, I made a couple of footstools so Sparky could get up on the seats in the camper.
Since then, Sparky has lost a step or two. When we aren’t camping, I bring the footstools in the house to help Sparky get up on the couches. I’m getting dumber, so often forget to bring the footstools when we go camping.
Sparky needed a step to get onto the camping seats, but I didn’t want to make more stools or take on another significant project.
The camper seats were built with a slot in front. The invention is a half-inch plank with spongy rubber foam on top.
We just tried it out.

Sparky is more comfortable with the stool, but this plank will be stashed in the camper so we always have a fallback.
