DeWine tells CNN Trump should reconsider action on Haitian immigrants

This week, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration can remove the Temporary Protected Status designation for hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Syrians, opening the door for those immigrants’ deportation.

It’s right there in the name, “Temporary”.  Governor DeWine is not happy that it’s time for the Haitians to leave America.

Nobody cares how Governor DeWine feels because 26% of Ohio approves of his performance, while 45% disapprove.

He[DeWine] said it is unsafe for people to return to Haiti due to widespread gang control.

Haiti had a population of 12 million people.  A million Haitians came to America.  Approximately 8% of the people from the poorest, least educated country in the Western Hemisphere, came to America.  Those people are motivated and skilled by Haitian standards, so settling them in America has stripped their country of human capital.  Good Haitians have to go back to govern their country.

DeWine highlighted that Haitian immigrants fill essential jobs in Ohio’s manufacturing, food, and health care sectors.

There is no job that Americans won’t do.  Raise the wages and improve working conditions in manufacturing, food and health care, and those jobs will be filled.

Governor DeWine wants Haitian immigrants because money comes with them through federal assistance and charities that assist in settling immigrants.  DeWine is lazy and is trying a weak, melodramatic appeal to capture political donations and to artificially inflate Ohio’s economy at the expense of low skilled American workers.
