
What percent of the population works for the federal government?
The federal government employees the smallest percentage of the workforce in at least the last 80 years. That’s extra impressive considering how much President Trump has gotten accomplished.
The number of federal employees has been about 2.9 million for over fifty years. That seems really shady.

Those spikes every ten years are because of the census.
For some reason, there was a steady increase in government employees during the Reagan years, and a steady drop during the Clinton years.
We’re talking about civilian employment.
