It’s 93o outside, so I’m staying in and catching up on some housecleaning. Sparky wanted to keep me company, but him walking on wet floors wasn’t helping. He doesn’t fully trust the vacuum cleaner. Since I was screwing up his afternoon, he decided to just go to bed until I settled down.
Or maybe Sparky didn’t like what I was listening to on Spotify.
On “The Book Club” channel, they were talking about The Call of the Wild. The book is about a nice dog who gets snatched up to be sold as a sled dog. A bunch of stuff happens to Duke, he runs with the pack for a while, and then he makes it back to his owner. I thought Sparky would like it.
One guest mentioned that dogs and humans are buddies because dogs know to look where a person is pointing. Since Sparky can’t do that, he was butt-hurt or something. He didn’t have to slink off. We could have talked about it.
I would have told Sparky that when somebody points at something, it’s probably a trick, so Sparky is smart for not falling for that old gag. That sounds like something Uncle Randy would tell him. It probably would have made him feel better.
Are there two Sparkys? Sometimes in photos he looks like he’s a young pup. Then other times in photos he looks like a senior citizen.
No kidding. In this post, http://bigstickphysics.net/2025/06/18/5849/, the photos were taken 20 minutes apart. Unless noted, every photo or video is a day or two old when I post it. Sparky is a master of disguise.
