Sparky has nothing to do with this.  He’s just the cutest person I know, so I put him in the bathtub.

As a retired person, I am supposed to accomplish at least one productive activity per day.  It isn’t always interesting, but may be instructive.  So that is this post.

As a PUNK1, I am supposed to maintain my household.  If the bathtub is squalid, friends and family start introducing me to spinsters who will romantically compel me to stop living in my own crapulence. 

I guess.  I don’t know, but why risk it?

Pro-Tip #1:  Put an extra shower curtain on the wall side of the bathtub/shower. It keeps the wall from getting cruddy, and both shower curtains get thrown in the washer when it’s time to clean the bathtub.

Pro-Tip #2:  Get a scrub brush that chucks into your nut driver.  Scrubbing Bubbles® and a scrubbing DeWalt 20 V MAX impact driver gets the job done in about 90 seconds.

Allow me to anticipate your questions.

Won’t the power scrubber scratch a fiberglass shower enclosure or tub?  

Yeah, probably.  If you don’t have an enameled tub and ceramic tiles, you may as well move in with the spinster because you’ve got nothing to lose.

Maybe that’s too harsh.  Try it carefully.  The power brush kit costs like ten bucks, so it’s worth a try.

Can the power scrubber scratch a good bathtub?

How would I know?  I only do this a few times per year, and the bathtub is probably 70 years old.  I should install a walk-in shower anyway.
