Sparky-cam version 1 works, but not well. Sparky doesn’t mind wearing the camera, and the image is decent unless he’s running. His head blocks the camera and the mount isn’t adjustable.
This was an expedient mount. A hole was melted into the dog harness, and a bolt was stuck through. Since it was so close to the harness, the camera wouldn’t swing around as much and would be less likely to get snagged on anything.

I have a few camera bracket mounts laying around. The type that costs a couple of bucks on Amazon. I riveted the mount to the harness.

The new mount puts the camera 3 inches higher. It may allow the camera to swing back and forth more, but the base is wider so the mount is more securely attached.

The new mount is higher, but it’s also adjustable, so it can be tipped up to miss most of Sparky’s head. It works pretty well. Sparky’s head is up, but not blocking much of the view.

Sparky and I were going for a walk, so we tried the new camera mount. It was too dark outside for that video to be useful, but the interior video looks good. Nothing bad happened when Sparky gave himself a good shake. I like how the video shows Sparky’s gait while walking.
