Beaker was a strong candidate for adoption.  He’s a beagle with a nice smile.  That’s my criteria.  When I contacted the orphanage, he had already been adopted.  Like Sparky, he was in and out in a day. 

Getting a dog is like buying a house.  I have to check the listings every day, be ready to move, but not be so eager that I take the next one that looks pretty good.
