Sparky met three horses from the sheriff’s department yesterday.

The horses were well-trained and standing majestic, while Sparky was concerned and assertive.  By the time we saw the horses later on, Sparky had decided that horses were a good idea and was happy to see them.

While we were camping at Salt Fork State Park, the park was holding a trail run as part of their Summer Sasquatch festival.  Pete and I were running RC cars on a trail close to the race route.  The mounted deputies were there for security or something.

Running the RC cars, we did a lot of walking.  Sparky is accustomed to napping quite a bit in the afternoon instead of hiking through the woods.  As always, Sparky was a good sport, and didn’t even complain about driving home pretty early this morning.

He’s been sleeping on the couch all afternoon.
